Hey guys, Kristianne and Neha, how do you guys agree with the statement? Do you actually have many younger siblings or cousins that dress too old for their age? What evidence do you have? How do they dress unappropriately?

  1. I don't have any siblings or cousins who dress too old or their age, mainly because I don't have any relatives younger than me haha. However, in church and in parties my friends hold, I see many young kids, some not even nine, wearing dresses and shorts that come up to mid-thigh. I have even seen some wearing shirts saying things like "Kiss Me I'm Hot" and sayings along those lines. I think I have a few pictures of those.

  2. I'm not sure, how are you going to use that to support the fashion industry in saying that it does'nt affect young girls?

  3. Exactly. Either way you look at it, it is either the fault of the fashion industry, or even the PARENT'S fault, for dressing their children up in such a way. In my opinion, if the child is still considered by society "too young" to watch TV and get influenced by what they see, then it is the parent's fault. If you REALLY want to blame the fashion industry very badly, you could say that the fashion industry influences the parents. Haha.
But if the kid is already in her teens, and her parents are not dressing her up anymore, then the fashion industry IS to blame. You could also say it is peer pressure. Again, if you REALLY REALLY want to blame the fashion industry very badly, then you can say that the fashion industry influences the peers who influence the girl HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  4. I don't think any of my cousins dress to old for their age. They just wear normal clothes like jeans and tops. Though i agree with kristianne when she says that other younger and younger kids are wearing too sexy clothes for their age. Its kinda obscene and i think they're influenced by the fashion industry as the industry is obsessed with youth as much as it is obsessed with the size 0 trend. Nowadays they are using young models even at the age of 10 like Thylane Lena-Rose Blondeau who posed for Vogue in a photo spread for the Paris issue of Vogue. She was seen giving seductive looks to the camera. I think that the industry's sexualization of young blood is influencing the common youngsters into dressing to old for their age.

You can go search for more on the net. I know she is a good model but its sick because she's too young. I mean until it was 13 year-olds fine but seriously draw the line there....

  6. O_O Now THAT is quite disturbing. Wow. I mean, it's alright if children pose for innocent things like, let's say, a parent's magazine but vogue and glamour modelling just seems strange.
