Do you think
that the one of the negative effects of the fashion industry is that
it promotes eating disorders in young girls?
Definitely. Looking at a (probably incomplete and perhaps unreliable) list of models who died during their careers in the 21st century, around a quarter of them died of anorexia nervosia. If young girls see this on TV, they might think that it is "OK", because women people find "pretty" do the same thing.
You know what i think the fashion industry is confusing people giving them the illusion that unhealthy is perfection. I mean size 0 and 00 is worshiped on the ramp and on the other hand they have plus sized models who are really unhealthy. Ok seriously curves, bulging fats, bones ???? HIGH-FASHION
Actually, do you believe that plus-sized modeling should be encouraged? Since most people believe that plus-sized models are also very unhealthy, then isn't that the same as frequently showcasing size 0 and 00 models on the runway? Just a thought.
Yup, my point exactly.Like I've mentioned before, the fashion industry is confusing people by giving them the illusion that unhealthy is perfection when at one end they show size 0 and 00 models walking the ramp and the other end they show severely overweight plus-sized models posing for photo shoots.
