Dhaanya and Andrea: The Fashion Industry creates a positive impact on people

The fashion industry is often seen as negative, but have you thought about how it has tried to help people? In relation to the pretty recent Japan disaster, the Fashion Industry have been aiding in the Japan Tsunami Relief efforts. http://www.styleite.com/media/fashion-japan-disaster-relief/#0
Because the fashion industry is so broad and large, it can easily reach out to the rest of the world to call for help.

Why people like the fashion industry so much? http://www.fashionaddictgirl.com/?p=82

A very useful video that Dhaanya has found: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_IiF0VhqUpA

  1. Regarding the article from fashionaddictgurl.com, I do see that she has raised a very good point; one that I have never seen before, on how the fashion industry supplies jobs to people. But I am still not totally convinced.
First of all, while it does give an economic boost to... well... the country's economy, what about the other aspects of society? Does it help a country's people socially? Not totally. From people I know and interact with fashion turns people against each other (and so you can see that most of the people I hang out with are girls. Sad life) instead of improving lives. It may help with a country's culture, since a certain country can show off its' uniqueness to the world by having their own dressing style. But otherwise, how does it help a country? Politically and in development, etc. Fashion is not going to determine the outcome of a Summit Meeting. So do the GOOD POINTS of fashion REALLY outweigh the BANES of fashion?
